The project explores the way in which a spatial element can inform or shift peoples’ behavior. By taking a critical design approach to the state of current meetings in Qatar, the spherical seat addresses the lack of meeting in areas where there is potential for interaction. It criticizes/ challenges the way people from different social structures and cultural backgrounds meet in Qatar’s public spaces.

While the seat's form is demonstrative of the separation between people in Qatar’s public spaces, it simultaneously functions as a playful element that stimulates an interaction between them. One person cannot sit alone - the sphere only balances when more than one person is sitting. Since each individual’s movements disrupt the stability of the others, they inevitably become aware of the need for each other's presence.
